Ask anyone who follows legislation for a living how they learned their craft, and you’ll often be greeted with a laugh. The reason is simple enough. Many of them learned the hard way.
“It is a big issue to tackle,” said Kelly Harbitter, director of government affairs at Search. “There are not a lot of resources that say here is step one, two and three.”
